Description

NOTE - This is in review. Internal use only.

The module introduces the Australian Government’s national AI guidance (the “Six Practices”) and shows how these principles apply across APAC contexts. Learners explore the core concepts through short explanations, practical examples, multilingual transcripts, and real NFP-specific scenarios.

Across the module, users will learn how to manage risks, protect vulnerable groups, maintain transparency, ensure reliability, and keep humans in control of AI-supported decisions. The module includes guided activities, matching exercises, micro-scenarios, and a final knowledge check to reinforce key concepts.

By the end, participants will understand what responsible AI looks like, how to apply it in their organisation, and what actions they can take immediately to support safe, ethical and trustworthy AI adoption.

This course is designed to teach participants:

  • Describe why responsible AI is essential for mission-driven organisations and how trust, safety and integrity influence AI adoption across the APAC region.
  • Recognise each of the Six Practices and understand how they connect to AI ethics, governance and safe implementation in an NFP context.
  • Spot risks related to bias, vulnerable cohorts, data privacy and fairness, and understand how these risks may affect service delivery.
