Description

In this self-paced course you'll find a practical, 20-minute guide to using Artificial Intelligence safely and ethically in the non-profit sector. Learn the six essential practices to protect your organisation and your community.

Artificial Intelligence (AI) offers huge potential for the non-profit sector, but it must be used responsibly to protect our communities. This module translates government guidance into practical, everyday steps for Non-Profits and NGOs across the Asia-Pacific region.

The course is built on a "Human-Centred" approach. It teaches a simple golden rule: the more an AI tool affects people, the more human supervision is required. You do not need to be a technical expert to take this course; it is designed for all staff and volunteers.

This course is designed to teach participants:

  • Assign clear accountability for AI use and risks in your organisation.
  • Recognise impacts and mitigate risks against vulnerable populations.
  • Implement human control and override points for high-stakes AI tools.
