Vivek Katial is a data practitioner who is passionate about making a positive social impact. He is the co-founder and Executive Director of The Good Data Institute (GDI), an Australian non-governmental organization that focuses on building data capabilities for the charity sector. GDI has supported over 50 charities on more than 70 data-related projects. In addition to this, Vivek is also part of the founding team at Multitudes, where he works on measuring data on people and how it can influence and change behaviour. Previously, he spent some time at NASA's Jet Propulsion Lab, where he did a fellowship exploring the use of machine learning for exoplanet detection. He is currently finishing up a PhD in Optimization via Quantum Computing.

Kristen is a data professional and social innovator with experience across NFP, university, health and government sector, working with organisations to solve social problems using data. She holds a PhD in Population Health and a Masters in Data Science.
